Dr. Jill Pentimonti is the Director of the Early Learning Foundations (ELF) Lab, Executive Director for Research Advancement, and Associate Research Professor in the Institute for Educational Initiatives at the University of Notre Dame. An expert in applied quantitative methods, she uses data-driven approaches to understand and strengthen young children's early learning in language, literacy, and STEM.
She earned her B.S. from the University of Notre Dame, master's degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. Dedicated to ensuring that every child begins school with a strong foundation, Dr. Pentimonti's current research explores how artificial intelligence can enhance classroom instruction and assessment. She also serves as President of The Science Coalition, advocating for robust federal investment in scientific research.
